After the last few months of photographing bands in Arenas, Amphitheatres, and at Festivals, it was nice to shoot a show like this again. No barricade, no 3 song limit, and hardly a chance of moving once Converge hit the stage. My camera and I were totally at the mercy of the band, the constant barrage of stage divers, and the 400 bodies behind me. And I loved every minute of it. Shooting in battle conditions is how I got my start with concert photography, and no matter how spoiled I get by shooting the big ‘rock shows’, I will never get tired of photographing under such duress. Check out a few more of my photos over at the Decibel Magazine blog.
