It’s hard for me to believe that I’ve been witnessing Death Angel live for almost 30 years, but indeed I have. I’ve also photographed the band live eight times, and even now there are moments where I have to put down my camera and just watch, because I am still blown away by just how amazing they are live. This show at the New Parish was no exception, and you can read more about it over at ümlaut.
Shooting the Treasure Island Music Festival is a bit more relaxed than shooting Outside Lands. With only two stages, and no bands going head to head, I had more than enough time to grab a beer between sets, and casually make my way over to the opposite stage. Highlights of the weekend, at least photography wise, included Dirty Ghosts, Public Enemy, Grimes, Imperial Teen, and Gossip. Check out more of my photos over at the East Bay Express.
